Bancolombia’s 1,000,000 sq.ft. headquarters include a conference center, a presidential suite, several stories of open-plan offices, as well as a fitness center, a restaurant and an employees’ dining facility. The building’s “lighting vocabulary” was developed in response to the structure’s vast scale to simplify orientation within the headquarters’ various facilities.

Illumination of the exposed segments of the building’s shell emphasizes its scale and revealsthe rhythm of its major structural elements. It articulates the distinction between the building’sconcrete infrastructure, and the “inner architecture” of the headquarters’ various departments.
